Hayabusa Gen 2 supercharger build

Creating the ultimate Gen 2 Hayabusa – for a customer in Norway

Our Hayabusa supercharger packages have been really well received and we've shipped them all over the world. But this customer wanted the installation done in house; the only issue was he lives in Norway!

Not ones to be put off by a little distance, we arranged for the bike to be delivered, so that we could spend a week transforming it into a 350+hp beast!

The first thing we noticed was the condition of the bike – it's impeccable. A really well-cared for, low-mileage example that also benefits from some nice upgrades, including Rotobox carbon wheels, Yoshimura exhaust and lots of neat carbon and alloy details.

We began by stripping the bike and removing all of the bodywork. We could then access the engine, which was removed to enable us to fit the spacer under the cylinders to lower the compression ratio. We also fitted some Black Widow headers to replace the restrictive stock set up.

Once this had been done, the engine was refitted and the supercharger components could be installed. These include a Rotrex C30-94 counterclockwise supercharger, a custom CNC-machined belt guard, a super-tough Powerdyne drive belt, a custom fabricated intercooler, an oil cooler, an oil reservoir with level indicator, an air filter, a fuel pump, plus all pipework, brackets and ancillaries.

When the installation is complete, we'll get it on the dyno to set it up and make some big power.
